Lazy Saturday Morning

It’s been a busy week. I’ve been putting it a small amount of overtime trying to finish a project at work. I was close to saying it’s almost there Friday evening, when a click of the mouse pratically lost all the day’s coding! My lovely office mates took it in stride — a few Bravo chicken treats and they chilled for a few more hours.

This morning, we had our play time. Walker and Monroe are two months shy of their 2nd birthdays. They don’t play as rambunctious as they used to, but they still like to get a couple of play times in daily. We don’t have as many “zoomies” but if I am consistent with the play, thet sleep more at night time.

Saturday mornings are my time to plan the week, menu and shopping list, things needed to be done around the house. This morning I got last week’s one recipe posted — a bit late because of the ot, but it’s posted! As usual when I’m working They like to stay close. They used to cuddle in the bed, but they are too big for both to fit in the bed now. Walker seems to have commandered it. Monroe likes to stay close to my paper just in case I forget to hide the pen. She’s still a pen theif and I have as of yet to find her stash!

Quiet mornings like this seem to put the world in a soft space. I’m so thankful for these two sweet kitties who share their lifes with me. I pray God blesses them with happy, healthy lives.

  1. I’m glad that you took some time to enjoy with the dogs, it’s always important to have a balance between work and leisure. I’m happy to hear that the recipe made it despite the overtime. It’s amazing how animals can sense when we need a bit of distraction and love. Thank you for sharing your experience with us!
